Galway United will target bouncing back from their first defeat in this year's SSE Airtricity League Premier Division when they travel to Sligo Rovers on Saturday (12th April 2025).
Even though the Bit O'Red are bottom of the table, they haven't lost a league fixture at home to the Tribesmen since 1996.
On that occasion, goals from Mark Herrick and John 'Jumbo' Brennan gave Galway United a 2-0 victory.
John 'Jumbo' Brennan scored 49 goals during three spells with Galway United and is a former manager. He also played briefly for Sligo Rovers. He looked ahead to the game with Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly.

Connacht aim to continue their home run in the EPCR European Challenge Cup on Saturday (12th April 2025) when they host Racing 92 in the quarter-final.
They've only met once before when the French side squeezed out a 26-22 victory in the Champions Cup in December 2020, despite Connacht tries from Matt Healy, Alex Wootton and Conor Oliver.
Victory will secure another home knockout game in May, before the team head off on their URC trip to South Africa.
Galway Bay FM's William Davies previews the big match and is joined by Connacht's Paul Boyle and Cullie Tucker, and Racing 92's Sam James.

Galway go in search of a first national ladies football title in 11 years when they clash with Cork in the LIDL National League Division 2 Final on Saturday (12th April 2025).
The Tribeswomen have beaten the Rebelettes in their last two competitive meetings, including last year's All-Ireland semi-final, and their second game in this year's league (2-8 to 0-12) thanks to goals from Leanne Coen and Roisin Leonard.
Both teams have already been promoted to Division 1, but a league title would be a welcome boost for Galway, which beat Westmeath in 2014, the last time they played for Division 2 honours.
Leading up to the game, Galway manager Daniel Moynihan chatted to Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly on 'Over The Line.'
