Kinvara will hope to reach a target of becoming a Primary Junior football club this Saturday (11th October) when they meet Oranmore-Maree in the 2025 Junior A decider.
The south Galway club beat Na Piarsaigh 3-16 to 0-4 to clinch the west title in Pearse Stadium to reach a first decider since going down to St. Brendan's after a replay in 2002. Their 2023 under-19B champions provides promise of a strong future.
Oranmore-Maree will look to continue their great work at underage in recent times, yielding numerous titles. And while their intermediates needed to fight the relegation play-offs this year, competition will be fierce again for spots in 2025, which will be helped if they can get a second team into Premier Junior 2.
John Conole, the Kinvara manager, spoke with Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly about the final and football in Kinvara.
