Castlerea plays host to "Clash of the Titans" - A Galway Bay FM Sport Boxing Special

The Hub in Castlerea was the venue for a special night of amateur boxing as Ireland took on Ukraine in a keynote international.
This was the first such international in Ireland in some years and is the culmination of a 5 day dual nation training camp, which also included a two-test match series.
Both teams were at near full strength with Olympians on both sides.
John Mulligan was at the International and spoke to many of the boxers and organisers of a brilliant night in front of a full house of supporters and fans.

Ahead of the quarter-final in the 2024 Connacht senior football championship, Galway Bay FM headed to the Claddagh Ring in Hendon, London on Friday (5th April) for an 'Over The Line' championship special.
Galway begin against London on Saturday (6th April), their 10th time to visit London in the provincial championship.
In association with Menlough GAA club, Galway Bay FM were there for a special preview night with many guests throughout the county.
Guests included Paul Coggins, Paul Bellew, Mark Gottsche, Michéal Geraghty,
And there for Galway Bay FM were Ollie Turner, Kevin Dwyer and Jonathan Higgins.

Connacht return to European action on Sunday (7th April) when they travel to France to take on Pau in the EPCR European Challenge Cup last-16 fixture.
Pete Wilkins' team are coming into this tie following back-to-back BKT United Rugby Championship losses to Emirates Lions and Benetton.
Ireland internationals Bundee Aki and Finlay Bealham are back, as is scrum-half Caolin Blade from injury. Ballinasloe's Shane Jennings makes his first start.
