Galway United are through to the quarter-finals of the men's FAI Cup after beating Salthill Devon 4-0 in the Galway City Derby in Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday (15th August 2025).
First-half goals from Garry Buckley and Stephen Walsh gave the 'visitors' in this cup tie a two-goal interval advantage; Patrick Hickey and Dara McGuinness doubled the lead during the second half.
Galway Bay FM's match commentary team were Mike Rafferty and Derek Rogers.

Galway United are back in action in the SSE Airtricity League Men's Premier Division next Friday (22nd August). Kick-off in Eamonn Deacy Park is 7.45pm. Salthill Devon will start their defence of the Western Hygiene Supplies Brod Trill Premier League in the next few weeks.
